Pro 2096 Step Size Frustration

Pro 96 / 2096......Is there any way to program step sizes??? I am so frustrated because some frequencies I need to program like 154.230 and 153.5250 aren't within the step size range. So, the scanner won't accept these frequencies and changes them to 154.22750 and 153.52250. I need these and other freqs for a system I monitor. I am somewhat of a newbie. Is there any workaround for this????

neither of them are legal frequencies that is why you can't program them

The differences are 2.5 KHz - the scanner's IF is broad enough for that to not make any difference.
