I have a Pro 26, model # 20-9506 (European version!) scanner. I'm trying to improve the sound output WITHOUT using an external speaker. The current internal speaker rattles somewhat & is difficult to understand. Radio Shack parts says that the speaker is discontinued. I also have a Pro 51, and according to RS they use the same speaker.
Is it logical to think that if I replace the poor speaker in the #26 that the "sound" would then be similar to the #51? (I just purchased the #26 used).
Anyone know of a good/cheap source for a speaker that would fit right in without too many mods to it???
