the wife has a pro35 and she said its programed or has chips and "was" set up for listening. well when i try to use it,i cant get it to do anything at all.
can i just hit a scan button and pick stuff up? its not much fun,and has been sitting for a while now. but i thought of it the other day,and it would be nice to hear different things going on. air planes or coast guard...........anything at this point.

any ideas ??

thanx

I guess the area you are trying to monitor is out of range . Public Safety may be using 800 mHz band freq.'s and I see that this radio does not scan beyond 512 mHz.

What you can do is try using the limit search button and put the
following range in 108 for the low end and 174 for the high end.

Push search and you should hear some Aviation,Amateur Radio,Rural
Fire Dept., Businesses, and Railroad in that range.

Check out your home county freq.'s in the database on this site and
see if things have changed. I'll bet they have since that radio was released!
