PRO-43 Case Screws

I got my PRO-43 back from my Dad not too long ago, and I discovered the two case screws closest to the battery door were missing. My Dad said that the battery holder had gotten stuck, and he had to remove the screws to get it out. Unfortunately, he lost the two screws :-(

Does Radio Shack still carry the screws, and does anyone have a part number?

I'm pretty sure RS does have the parts. I'd go to their web site, do a search for the Pro 43 and find the parts list. That's what I've done for other RS scanners I have needed parts for. I've also gotten 43 parts the same way.

I only see the long case screws in the parts list on the R/S web site. You probably need the short ones, metric size M2, 3mm long. The screws at Mouser are 4mm long and may not work without breaking something.

You should grab the service manual at http://www.mods.dk/view.php?ListManuals=radio_shack to keep as a reference. Pages 38 and 39 cover the mechanical hardware.
