Pro-433 Reception

I picked up a 433 today and the reception, even with the stock antenna, is superior, even to my 528. I can hear the NYPD crystal clear from indoors from the Nassau-Suffolk border.

Even better, I used ARC433 and now have my 433 set exactly the same as my 528!

I agree with you, my pro-433 has great ears on it. I was amazed at how well it picks stuff up. I programmed mine by hand, how easy is the software to use and is there a free trial period. I would like to try it before I buy it. I've hooked a small external speaker to the 433 and it sounds very good. I'm very happy with it.

The software is ARC-433. It can be found at www.butel.nl . There is a 30-day trial period, and I use the RadioShack 20-047 USB cable with it. The software is super-easy to use, especially if you have a Premium Subscription, because you can import directly from the Database to your scanner.

Thank you for the info, I already have the pc cable from RS for my Pro-164. I believe it's the same cable and it will work. I will give it a try and see how it goes with the software.
