I just got a pro 433, and I have it programed the way I like it. I have PD set up in TG bank 1-0 thru 1-9 and fire dept in TG bank 2-0 thru 2-8. At times I would like to scan just PD or just fire, how would I turn on or off TG banks, without listening to both at the sametime. Thanks

While scanning the bank your trunked system is in and in closed mode ( not searching ) just push the number you wanted locked out and push it again to unlock. Your TG banks are indicated at the top of the display 1 through 10.

I have a Pro-433 and my local PD (Eden Prairie, MN) uses a LTR MultiNet system. I have read several posts that say no scanner is compatible with this system. So, am I out of luck? I am picking up odd bits of chatter here and there (possibly car-to-car), but nothing from dispatch.

These are the freqs I have programmed, but I can't figure out how to program talkgroups. The talkgroup numbers below don't correspond with the numbers my Pro-433 will allow me to enter. I'm only interested in police and fire at this time.

Any help would be appreciated!

How do I program the Pro-433??? Trunking...TGID...

Okay...I'm frustrated...how do I program this thing!!!

I have the manual, but I just dont understand it.

I press,
1. E/PGM
2. Trunkn
3. 8
4. E2 - UHF
5. E/PGM
6. E/PGM
7. 502.5125
8. E/PGM

NOW WHAT?

How do I enter in TGID's?
I want to get
54736 NPPD - Dispatch
54704 NPPD - OPS 1
15184 NPPD - OPS 2

Currently, I have two 502.5125 , Channel 701 displays at Trunking M, but never receive anythig, but channel 705 I have the same 502.5125 but it's not listed at Trunking M, just Trunking. I dont know what that means, but thats what it is.

I dont know how to enter in the TGID's. But I do here some of the some of them. Right now I hear multiple angencies on that one frequency, I just want to hear NPPD.

This is a link to a thread about the frequency I'm trying to program.

This is the table of TGID's

Let's work on the TGs later. Now you need to get it to trunk that system. I don't have a UHF system so I just went by the book and played around. This should work. Just do it slowly, step by step.

Your steps 1. 2, 3, 4 & 5 are OK.
1. E/PGM
2. TRUNK
3. 8 (or whatever bank you want)
4. E2 - UHF
5. E/PGM

6. Push the UP arrow once. You will see 2 bASE, push E/PGM.
Now you see BAS SPC OFS. TRUNK M 1 2 3 are flashing. Push 1
7. Enter the first base freq. Yours is 500.3375
8. Push E/PGM, then the UP arrow. Now you see SPC 50.0.
9. Enter the spacing. You want 25 E/PGM
10. Push the UP arrow. Now you see OFS 380. You want 380 so just push E/PGM.
That's the first Freq. Base & Offset.
11. Push HOLD. Now TRUNK M 1 2 3 are flashing again. Push 2.
12. Enter the next freq., 501.9125. E/PGM.
13. Push the UP arrow, enter 25 E/PGM.
14. Push the UP arrow, enter 430 E/PGM
15. Push HOLD. Now TRUNK M 1 2 3 are flashing. Push 3.
16. Enter the last freq. 502.5125. E/PGM
17. Push the UP arrow, enter 25 E/PGM.
18. Push the UP arrow, enter 450 E/PGM
19. Push SRCH. It should find the control channel and start trunking.
When it's trunking, you will hear all active TGs

Now you can enter the Talk Groups. Use the DEC numbers in the database. Ignore the HEX numbers. It's the bottom of page 25.
1. E/PGM, TRUNK
2. Press an arrow to select E2-UHF. E/PGM
3. Push UP arrow twice. You see 3 Prog id. E/PGM
4. Now you see 1--1 - - - - - It's now in ID List 1, position 1.
5. Enter the first TG number. E/PGM, UP arrow. And so on and so on ----

What should I see after I finish step 19. I followed all the steps. I did step 18, then I did 19, and it started scanning frequencies and not stopping, it just kept going up and up and up. Is that what it's suppose to do? It gets stuck on these Static sounding channels, but I'm pretty sure they just are static.

So I gave up on that and tried the TG thing. I could enter them, but when I tried to just listen to a group, I couldnt find out how to do that. I'm reading it right out of the manual. And your steps 1-19 weren't even in the manual.

You can't enter Talk Groups until it's trunking. If you did all the steps, when you do step 19 and push SRCH it should start trunking.
As I said, I do not have a UHF system here so I'm not sure if you need to put in all the system freqs. in the database. Try putting in the 10 freqs. for Site 001, the Simulcast system, then do the 19 steps to enter the FREQ, BASE & OFFSET.
Also, try asking in the NJ forum. Someone there should be able to help.
Sorry I can't be more help.
Dick
