It kinda looks like a PRO-94 with a silver face......
I wonder what will happen with these 2 new radios, software wise, since they are Uniden made.

I hope GRE gets back in the game here..........

As I understand it, Scancat Lite Plus already supports the 528.

Not very useful to me here in Central Maryland; too many digital systems rather than analog.

Alphatags. With huge trunking systems, there's no way around them. I know I won't be buying this or the 433. I concur on the PL/DPL as well. Why bother punching out products that don't include common items...

Innovation, or at least common sense!

I agree that no alpha tags is a big step backwards.
The only advantage seems to be that it is upgradable for re-banding.
The battery compartment design is not well thought out either.
Little bit big too.
Must be a design Uniden kicked out of there future product line.
What is RS thinking? Maybe the question should be, are they thinking?

WHO in thier right mind would choose THAT over the Pro-97??

I was really looking foward to how it would look... but now.. I think I'll stick with my ol' trusty 97..

Now that the 528 and 433 will have Butel software support, these models may sell better.

Will they be controllable or just programmable like the pr0-83? That is the question.

Is it possible to enable alpha tags & pl/dpl through a software update later on? If it is... Maybe that is something they will be considering. ???? I dunno

The scanners display simply can not show alpha tags. This is the way the scanner was designed. Although the firmware is upgradable this can not be added, also PC software can not add this since they are programming only.

*thumbs down*

I'll stick with my Pro-97.... the Pro-97 is more of a scanner, having alpha tags, and PL capability, yet it is CHEAPER???

R.S. is insane..
