I've got a pristine Pro-62 Handheld Scanner, which scan fine but no longer receives VHF-lo, and has a loud ringing screech on vhf-hi. It works ok on UHF. Anyone know if RS still repairs these radios?

Thanks,
Rob

All you can do is call and ask them. RadioShack customer service: 1-800-843-7422.

You can see what they want. But RS has been selling the PRO-83 for $70 , and it has signal stalker to boot plus the same # of channels.

I would guess to say it would cost more to fix an out of warranty scanner. They would probably charge at least $30 for the shipping cost.

Below is a quote from the equiptment for sale forum:

I have 2 Radio Shack PRO-83 200-channel handheld scanners for sale. They are NOT refurbs. or store returns! They are brand new in their original, un-opened retail packages.
Asking $60.00 each delivered or $110.00 for both.

I would look in that thread forum. It was posted by Buffalogoat. Use your own discretion!
