Pro-649

Bought a Pro-649 on Friday afternoon. I figured for $99, why not! I forgot how much fun the old style programmable scanners were. Just plug in the frequencies and play. The reception is fantastic, even with the stock duck. Only thing I missed using it, was not being able to program PL and DCS tones.

It's definitely a keeper though.

How is the audio on that unit?

Audio is pretty good. Nice and loud too.

I got one this week also , I have several Uniden scanners digital but I grew up on these RS scanners and I love the easy old fashioned programming also have a pro 650 which I love. Living in NYC its still all good since almost everything is still analog so there should be a couple more years of life on the police and fire on the old band. I just love these inexpensive nice radios and the sound is so much better then on my unidens.
