Pro 651 Help

My fiancée brought me the Pro651. I have been trying to figure out how to get rid of the stalker and limit search features. My scanner constantly gets stuck with these and will not go back to the frequencies I have loaded with the software. I have tried to read the manual to no avail. They should make a manual programming scanners for dummies.

It is very frustrating. I constantly have to use the permanent lock out feature. I am missing a lot of calls when it is in the stalker/limit search.

My other radio shack scanner was easier to work and didn't get "stuck" all the time.

Usually, just pressing the scan button solves most of these problems. I've never used the stalker and rarely use limit search as service search works better.

Seach/Stalk object got assigned to a ScanList

To the OP, when you read the manual link in the previous post, please notice that the Search/Stalk features can be assigned to a regular object in a regular Scanlist. This is useful for people who hunt frequencies. They can scan their normal frequencies in their ScanList and also have the Search/Stalk automatically cycle as well.

Check your ScanLists to make sure none contain an object that is a Search/Stalk feature. I suspect there is one assigned to a ScanList. When/If you find it, delete it.

In other words, when you press SCAN let the scanner cycle through your ScanLists until it reaches the Search/Stalk object. Then press PGM and, either navigate through the options for that object to un-select the ScanList's number, or you can choose to delete the whole object entirely. After making the adjustment press SCAN to resume scanning.
