I'm trying to program my 652 to pick up SIRN. I'm in western Greenbrier County. I've used the ARC 500 software for programming and it seems to pick up the control channel because I get the bars on the display but I don't get the T indicating a control channel. Any ideas? I'm using the same programming as in my 651 and the 651 doesn't have any issues. Thanks!

You can use the arc500 and import the system from the RR Database that is the best way

Thats what I did, I've used the database and uploaded it to both units. The handheld works just fine. but the base doesn't pick up anything on the trunking side. It picks up WeatherBand and other conventional transmissions.

When you say "both units", what is the second? You could "clone" your 652 to another known good configuration, if you own a 106 or 651.

Get a audio patch cable, hook it to both scanners, and via the manual, clone your 651 to the 652 and you should be good to go. If I remember right, on your 651, it's accessed from the global menu.

No luck. I tried cloning from my 651 and still the same problem.
