First Question is: Does Radio Shack Support the Radio Scanners they sell? Somehow during the course of trying to get my PRO-668 to talk to Unitrunker program I decided that maybe the issue was the Radio driver. So I decided to update the driver for my Radio Shack PRO-668 and I have managed to, well to put it lightly....screw it up and it now it no longer talks to the iscan software. I guess it updated back to just a USB drive. I need to go back thru the setup for unassigned drivers, Disable driver signature enforcement, like I originally did,*but my problem is the file RadioShack_PRO-668.inf that is supposed to be on the radio SD Card is now nowhere to be found. I didn't delete it but it's not there in the folder or files. I'm using windows 10. I need a new INF file I guess. Radio Shack support is pretty much NO SUPPORT. I would never recommend Radio Shack scanners due to basically zero support you get. You would think that if you purchased their product that there would be a web site for support on your specific radio and download options for your software, drivers etc etc. SD card download. Nope, not that I can find. Is there a support website for this radio? Maybe I missed it.

Anyway guys, So where can I get the INF file that I think I need to get my coms back up and running and my driver working again? Can one of you guys copy yours and email to me. le_gosnell@yahoo.com or Maybe the*INF file from a Whistler ws 1080 or a PRS 800 might work? I just don't know. The INF file is supposed to be on your Radio Micro SD Card.

Appreciate it

Its not in that zip on facebook
Here are the contents of the .inf
You can copy and paste into your file
I made a clone of my SD card when I bought the scanner and saved the orrig before I did anything

INF File

Appreciate the help very much. I finally did a scan a few minutes ago on windows 10 file explorer and located the INF on my computer. I guess it gets moved automatically from the sd card. I don't know but I but went thru the PRO-668 Windows 10 Instructions for driver setup and I'm back in business.

Thanks again.

...Does Radio Shack Support the Radio Scanners they sell?...

The only "support" Radio Shack currently gives for the scanners they sell is that they will exchange a non-working unit for a new/working unit during the warranty period. Other than that they no longer offer (post bankruptcy) any factory repair service or sell any scanner repair parts. Essentially after your warranty period ends you are "on your own" as far as Radio Shack is concerned.

For the above reasons it usually makes more sense to purchase the Whistler-branded version of the Radio Shack scanner that you are considering purchasing (especially if you are buying brand-new) to get much better support. By buying the Whistler brand you will have the availability of both in- and out-of warranty factory repair service (flat-rate repair of $120) and ongoing support with the latest software and firmware updates for your scanner.

I have delete the database on accident do I need the same fie to restore it? thanks

What OS?

Did you make a archive?

Did you delete it off the computer or just the Micro sd card?

Did you check the recycle bin?

Search for cdat files. (they are the data base files for the scanner)

Try googling RECUVA I have used this program to retrieve files before.

Those are what you programmed in the scanner. You have created 3 different cdat files which could be all the same or different depending on what you did before you saved your data.
