I'll try to make this short. I purchased a brand new PRO-668 (not whistler upgraded yet). My city recently changed to a digital phase I system for police, fire, ems. I'm trying to manually enter the information through iscan. I have the control frequencies entered as well as the talkgroup ID's in decimal. I must have one of the options selected incorrectly or something is not set up correctly. I do not hear any transmissions. The weather channels work so I know the audio/scanner is functioning. Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. the system I am trying to add is WestComm in Chicopee, MA. It just went live about a week or two ago.B40529B1-A950-4C2E-A18F-1B48FE43ABFE.jpeg

First issue is that it is a simulcast system, this may be your biggest issue, that said, on the site option tab do you have auto fill selected? Other than that it looks correct.

If auto fill is selected, try a smaller antenna and move the scanner to different locations (including outside the home/neighborhood) to see if this makes a difference.

Thanks for the quick replies. Under the site details tab the subtype is set to auto. In the site options the trunking tables is set to auto fill. On the radio ID details tab the info is blank. Is there something else I need to add in this tab or will this auto fill when it receives a transmission?C79C1C1C-36EB-4F2D-A44D-BD1DD162EF80.jpeg

The setting I was talking about is under sites, and site options.

Other things to check, are the talkgroups assigned to an active scanlist. But, honestly, I'm betting on the simulcast issue.
You should also add a wildcard to both the Radio ID and Talkgroup tab just in case, add all TGs in and lock out what you don't want so you can ID new TGs not listed.

Ok I got it figured out! So what happened was that autofill option wasn’t saved. I had set to autofill before and tried it with no luck. I pulled the info from the scanner back to my laptop and for some reason it wasn’t selected as autofill. When I changed it previously I must not of saved it in the scanner. I’m hearing all the talk groups now that I programmed in. Thanks again for the replies. I figured someone here would point me in the right direction!

I purchased a brand new PRO-668 (not whistler upgraded yet).

any interest in selling it? i've heard that the 668 can be somewhat obstinate and obtuse, causing the owners to eventually mis-treat it out of frustration. I know of a good home that sending it to could prevent any future unpleasantness for the owner or the scanner. Said home currently has a lonely 668 that longs for a playmate.

I saw there is a sale on the Legacy Upgrade. This would be a good time to have it done. It converts the scanner to a Whistler WS1080. You will be able to use the Whistler software for library and firmware updates. Also, I have seen numerous reports of a significant improvement in reception after the upgrade. I suggest that you trying entering all 6 of the frequencies in the database. It is possible that the control channel has changed. For UHF frequencies, under Site Options, Trunking Tables must be set to Auto Fill. Your photo shows there are no talkgroups entered. If you would like, I would be happy to do a programming file for you.

@Tmd07 - Totally agree with @tvengr (having a PRO668 and GRE800 both with the upgrade), it also adds DMR to the scanner in addition to the database access, firmware & DSP upgrades, and overall performance improvements to the scanner. For only $50 it is well worth it.

Thank you guys. I’ve been looking at the Whistler upgrade but didn’t see a sale unless it’s been within the past couple days? I did manage to get it working though for now. I did have the autofill option turned off originally. I’m going to check out the Whistler site again.
