Pro-668 USB problem

On my pro-668, when I hook up the USB cable error comes up saying "Usb device not recognized the last device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it"
Any ideas on what I should do? I am using windows 10 and I set it to not enforce unsigned drivers but still nothing

Are you using the Radio Shack PRO-668 iSCAN software? If it has the legacy upgrade, you need to use Whistler WS1080/WS1088 EZ Scan.

No legacy software I am using original Radio shack pro-668, I cannot use i-scan software because it doesn't recognize my scanner. I want to load the driver but I don't have the Radio shack pro-668 inf. file

If your computer has a card reader, try removing the SD card and updating it in the computer.

With those types of radios, always works best is to turn it off first, then try it.

Anytime Ive run into connectivity issues with SD card radios, I remove the card and put it into one those SD card adapters, put the adapter in the card slot. SD card is on one side of the radio after you take the battery cover off, its just a simple push in-out kind.
TRX1, would be the same for yours

Windows and in turn software always sees it then.

Only if the PRO-668 has been upgraded officially with the Whistler Legacy Upgrade or the unofficial upgrade.

The PRO-668 is quite limited on its own without one of the above upgrades.

Is by chance the 668 running the Hacked firmware that was out before the Official Whistler Upgrade?
By chance it could have been changed to the 1080 with the firmware mode software if I remember correctly reading in the forums.

It is running the original Radio Shack firmware
