PRO-82 Chirping ?

I have an old faithful PRO-82 that has developed a chirp when scanning.Would RF interference or trying to p/u newer channels be an avenue to persue.I am in Broome CO.NY and it is hooked to a tram 1089 outside.

It would help if you attached a sound file or put a short video on youtube.

I guess the scanning are not stopping during the chirp so it is the actual electronics that generate the sound and not a received transmission?
