Pro 82 in Macomb

I'm a beginner at radio scanners. Will the pro 82 not pick up any frequencies because Macomb county uses digital? Or will I be able to pick up frequencies. I'm mostly interested in listening to PD, FD, military/commericial aircraft.

Well you have two things going against you. As you mentioned most of Macomb public safety operates on the MPSCS Trunked Radio System which the PRO-82 has no way of decoding because it can't handle digital traffic. The second thing is that the PRO-82 can't trunk frequencies, which many public safety departments have switched to. Depending where you are at in Macomb you should be able to pick up quite a few PD and FD freqs. in Wayne and Oakland. There are quite a few that still operate on conventional freqs.
