Pro-83 Open Squelch

Ive searched google for answers and came up with nothing.

I have a Pro-83, and just today it started having a constant white noise... but the squelch is at minimum. Ive messed around with it and the noise is still present. The scanner still picks up transmissions, but as soon as the transmission is over, it goes right back to white noise. Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Well i turned it on today, and it seems to be fine now. I dont know what was up with it...

This happened with my BC296D (I know, unrelated manufacturer, but it is the same problem). It seemed to come and go. You should really just send it in and get it repaired before it doesn't continue being "on-again-off-again", like what eventually happened with mine.
