Hello, wondering if anyone can help me with the stalker feature. I am getting lots of hits in the stalker mode but, no matter what button I hit, it alway's brings me to a double dotted line across the screen?

How do you listen to the stalker hits?....Thanks!!

The radio should display "Found" on the LCD. You can hit HOLD a few (2 I think) times to see the frequency. The radio should listen to the freq found until you hit HOLD 3 times. I have not figured out a way to keep the channel in hold - it will start searching again once the channel is not active anymore.

Thanks for the response mam1081. I was playing around with the stalker today, "Found" did flash on the LCD for about 1 second, if even that long, then went to a flashing dotted line with no transmission at all, it does this about 1 time per minute. Does this happen on your 83? I have all bands turned on.

I did pick up a McDonalds & an employ from the CDC

No, I don't think mine does that. Perhaps your squelch is set a little too low, or maybe the transmission you keep picking up it only that 1 second long. You can set an alert to beep or turn on the light (or both). How to do that is in the instruction manual (I remember it being something like function + hold the "Hold" key for like 3 seconds). If you find what the freq is that you keep picking up for the 1 second, you can lock it out the next time you get it. Hit function then "0" (L/O). This should keep you from hearing it anymore.
