I have a pro 89 that scans but won't lock in on a signal. Anyone know where I could find an online schematic or have any idea where to start?

I'm here a lot
Your Pro-89 is not a trunk tracking scanner.

The system in Caddo parish is a Motorola Type II. An easy system
to program with the right radio.

The best you can do is enter all 25 freq.'s and try and follow the
conversation although it will be difficult.

Save the Pro-89 for the races and get yourself a trunktracker,
either a Pro-95 or Uniden's BC245 XLT if you don't need digital capability.

Since he never said anything about what kind of system he is trying to monitor, what makes you think he is trying to trunk track with it? Maybe he is using it at the track.
Ron, try putting your local weather freq in the radio and see if you hear anything.

I did try the local weather freq. but it wouldn't get it. I do use a pro 95 for Caddo Parish and state, but wanted this scanner for other frequencies while the 95 is scanning. I do thank both of you for trying to help.

It could be that the center pin on the antenna has broken off or the solder joint to the antenna has came loose.
