Hey guys, need a little help with a pro-90 that I came across. It didn't have a battery pack with it, but I've seen nimh battery packs on ebay and I was wondering if anybody had an opinion or experience with these as to how well they work, if they work at all. Thanks in advance

I think thats what was in my old Uniden 235 years back, i have made a batt-pac for my 245 (upgraded 235-PRO90), its a 4 -AAA batt pac using a four AAA plastic battery holder from RShack and wiring on a "H" connector, thats whats on the end of a PRO90-235-245 pac....It gives me about 8 hrs with alkalines-AAA....I had to sand off the ends of the plastic holder to get it to fit in the scanner...You could go to a "Battery Plus" store and have one made.....

I have Built Ni-Cad packs for y Pro 90 out of a couple of nicad packs for portable telephones from the dollar store. Just pick the right connector, and two packs makes one pack for a PRO90, with 2 spare cells left over. Make multiples if you wish. Easy, and I just put a wrap of tape to hold them together. MUCH cheaper than buying a pre-assembled pack, and you also get the pride of assembly, and saving money
Works for me, just watch your polarity.
