If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

My Pro-92 seems to be having a problem with two EDACS systems I listen to (Ocean City, MD and Worcester County, MD). It rarly will pickup the transmissions while in trunk mode. If I manually go from one frequency to another I will hear a transmission on most channels.

All the channels are programmed in the order the City and County has them and are set to EDACS using Win92.

First thing I'd check is whether you started programming with channel 0 of the bank or channel 1. You need to put channel 1 into channel xx1 of a given bank.

Dave....couple of questions for ya...

What kind of Ant are you using? I have a 93 with a perm mount in my police car...when I gat out of the county, especially in the Salisbury Area, it stops picking up the system on the scanner...it still picks up the system just about crystal clear on the radio, but nothing on the scanner

Have you checked your control channel reception? Currently, and it has been for a while, the control channel for the Worcester System is on LCN 10 (860.7125) If you are only intermintintly receiving the Worcester Control Channel, you won't be able to trunk track it.

Where in Salisbury do you live? That could be part of it.

As for the OC system...GOOD LUCK. Even on a mobile Orion radio, it won't go much into Wicomico Co at all on just the OC system. Since they moved the tower into town, reception out of tone went to near zilch.

Also, just for your info, I have had a few 92's & 2067's that just stopped trunk tracking. reprogrammed, no help. Ended up sending one of the 2067's that was still under warranty back to RS. Got it back from them still broke. Said it was the logic board or something and they no longer carried the part and would not be fixing it.

If you don't wanna answer these questions publicly, just e-mail me

I have it so channel 1 is in xx0 of the bank. I'll change it so channel 1 is in xx1 and see what happens.

The stock RS one.

I'm not sure...I'll check next time I head into the county.

Down by the river behind SU in dense woods. I have never been able to receive Worcester or OC from here. The problems I've been having happens even while I'm up at 65th St in OC, in Berlin, or on Assateague.

Whenever I have to make a delivery into Worcester and OC I have the scanner on, trying different things to get it to work. Sometimes it works fine, others it won't pickup anything.

The scanner works fine on the Salisbury and Wicomico Motorola system.

Thanks

Opps...I didn't read his reply to you. Changing the frequency to channel 1 will almost def solve the problem. Has to be in Ch xx1 because of the LCN.

Are you the same daveplot of FTW?
