Can / will anyone help?

I have the pro-94 scanner and wish to program it to monitor the Columbus Fire Division & surrounding fire department traffick [only].

Repeated attemps to accomplish this have been unseccussful.

I am at a loss...feeling about a stupid as one can.

I can provide more [detaild] information....

If you have the computer cable
Go Here and join this Group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BC245XLT/
Go to the Files Section and download the file setup.exe in the directory:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BC245XLT/files/BC-245 XLT Control Software/
Install the program if it asks you to replace any files select NO!
Start the program
Press the F6 key
In the drop down menu Select 2 - E2-800 Motorola
Select the first channel and at he bottom of the display
type in the 1st frequncy for the trunked system
You will need to repeat this until all the frequencies are entered.
Make sure that each channel is in Trunk mode.
Then press Send Data to Scanner button.

Now press F7
and start entering in the talk group numbers you are interested in.

In the frequency and trunked entry process you can ignore the names since the BC245XLT does not support name tags.

Send the talk groups to the scanner.

If you don't have a cable then the first thing you want to do is go to channel one and enter each frequency in a channel.
These are the frequencys for the system:

856.4375
856.4875
856.9375
856.9875
857.4375
857.4875
857.9375
857.9875
858.4375
858.4875
858.9375
858.9875
859.2125
859.4375
859.4875
859.9375
859.9875
860.2125
860.4375
860.4875
860.9375
860.9875
866.1625
866.4125
866.6625
868.0375
868.4500
868.7750

If you can get the radio working with the computer cable I can email the frequency list to you. Send me a private message with your email address and I send a file that you can load into the scanner program and upload to the scanner. I can't do it with the talk groups becuase the program won't let me edit the file.

Here is a review of the scanner:

Yes, I thought the PRO-94 was a Radio Shack clone of the BC245XLT. You will have to program in the information by hand. Sorry!

To program the PRO 94 go to Radioreference Database and enter the Control Channel frequencies only (the ones in red and blue). Be sure they are in the Motorola (MO) mode. Use the MODE button if MO doesn't follow the frequency. Push it until MO pops up. From the same database enter the fire department TG's you want. There are a lot of TG's in Columbus. Enter the dispatch TG, the EMS TG, and the batallion TG's. These pretty much cover all the traffic. Surrounding departments are also in the database.
