I'm helping a friend who bought a PRO-94 scanner a while back. It is doing something that seems a bit strange while trunking a Motorola Type II 800 MHz system.
I have programmed the bank as an E2-800 system, entered the frequencies, entered a set of the talk group IDs and pressed scan.
All is well and good except that rather than just scanning the IDs, the scanner acts like it is scanning a bank that has both conventional frequencies and a trunked system. I can see it scan the entered frequencies (all show an M and the display shows trunked), then it goes to ID banks and scans them.
If the scanner catches talk while scanning the frequency list, it will stop on that frequency and not show any talk group info.
I really don't want to reset the scanner and do this over again, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the input. I think I know why I took the PRO-94 I bought back within a couple of days.
