Hey guys....

Which one do you suggest? 94 or 97? What's the major difference apart from the price?

Regards

The 97 supports alpha numerics. Which is nice to not have to remember what channel belongs to which department. CT and DCT support. Plus it support a third type of trunking known as LTR. They have them on sale from time to time for $150.

I wouldn't pay anything more than $75 for a PRO-94.

It is a cheap out of date scanner in my opinon.

The PRO-97 is an excellent scanner.. Worth every penny.

I can't believe RS still sells the 94. I own one, and I haven't used it in two years.

pro-94 or 97

If for some reason you must have a Uniden made radio, and not gre, then buy a used BC245. It's so much better than the '94, you won't believe it. Austin

I got a 97 when it first came out. I LOVE it! I only "upgraded" to a 96 recently because my area is going digital in the near future, and it was on sale.

A 97 is a real treat at a military air show!
