I have Pro-94 that I just dusted off, and started playing with again. Then I see there is popular Pro-96 out there.

What does the Pro-96 offer me, that I don't have on my Pro-94?

My first observation is APCO25....

How do I come to know who is using APCO25 in my area (Detroit), and what more I would receive by upgrading to a Pro-96?

Thanks

Pro 94 is analog and the 96 is digital you can go to the database and look to see what you like to monitor in your area. You really cant compare the 2 scanners sort of like apples and oranges. Its really just a personal preference and what type radio's are in use in your area. The Pro 96 will recieve both analog and digital transsmissions. Good Scannin hoser147

You can see who is using digital by looking in the Database for Michigan, and when you click on a trunking system, in the info box at the top of the page it will tell you if it's digital. It will say something like "Project-25 Digital".

With the PRO-96, you get V-Folders, alpha tags, CTCSS/DCS, etc.
