Hi all,
New to the forums - glad I found them. I've been messin' round on StrongSignals and TalkAbout, but this looks much more active and serious with less slams on RS ;-).

I think the text labeling features on my Pro-93 are great, and I'm planning on getting the Pro-95 (if I can still find one) as my next hand held because it has the same text design. I don't find this feature on many other hand held scanners.

How does the software work to labeling frequencies? Don't we only have 9 character spaces? I haven't tried the software and PC cable before (because I have all Apple computers) but even with virtual PC and a USB adapter, (any tips appreciated) it looks like you all are entering way over 9 characters for text labels. How and why? Does the scanner show this when you hit the frequency? Will it scroll a text name longer than 9 characters?

thanks

Too bad it gets to 1000 channels by putting 100 channels in each bank. 10 banks of 100 channels kind of stinks for grouping. Would have been nice to offer 20 or 30 banks.

To underline your text for conv or trunking you can use [. . . . . . . . . . .] in the bank name for conv and freq tag name on 800 freqs.

not really sure what this has to do with the banks issue, but thanks for the tip Larry.
