Hello,

The local PD is using an 'off frequency' of 155.665. I am using Don Starr's Win95 software to program, and when I enter this frequency it automatically 'adjusts' it to 155.6625. Anyone know if it is possible to do something either from the keypad or with Win95 that will allow programming of 155.6650 rather than 155.6625? Thanks!

155.670 would be the correct freq.

Just for kicks I ran a search via the FCC General Menu Reports 2.0 query page for 155.665. There is actually one, but only one, agency in the entire United States licensed for that frequency: State of New York, counties of Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, Nassau. They are most likely low-power "mobile extenders" used by NY State Police in those boroughs/districts.

There are some licenses on the splinter frequency of 155.6625. Unless you're in NYC, the frequency should either be 155.670 or 155.655. If you're absolutely positive that the agency is using 155.665, just program the scanner for 155.6625. The selectivity of the Pro-95 is wide enough that a signal 2.5 kHz away will be very much audible. I pick up signals all the time that are as much as 6.25 kHz of off the true frequency.

It's most likely a typo - should have been 156.655 or something.

Use 155.6625 - it's only 2.5 kHz off.

Hmmmmm,
Local PD here is using the odd freq as well.
Mostly for portable to portable surveillance use...
The local comms contactor thought it would be cute to use an odd spacing for the surv channel...it's not a licensed channel anyway, so the contractor didn't worry about approvals or co-ordination.

155.6700 works fine for monitoring this one in my case...
