Pro 95 and Mil Air

I did that and I over 3337 hits. Sorry I am not going to flip through 3000 threads.

I did however remember reading that the Pro95 will do Mil Air with the Win95 software. Is this true?

Hi Brian, don't blame you at all for not wanting to go through 3,000 posts. I have a Pro 95 and Win 95 and have tried MilAir scanning with it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work very well for me. I find that I can hear some from 225 up to about 250-260MHz, but after that the 95 is pretty deaf. I also have an AOR 8200MkII that works very well for MilAir, so I have something to compare the 95 to. Use the best antenna you have and if you don't hear much, don't give up, start saving for a radio with the MilAir band it's very interesting.

It's George Fetters web site and he is located just a little ways south of Jacksonville. Also go to Yahoo Groups and join the MilAirCommsChat group, George is the moderator there. He's really helpful and can get you started with freq's and things to listen to when you get to Jax.

I get similar results with my 95. Reception picks up again somewhere around 360, but signal levels are still weak. There is a strong signal around 320 that is totally MIA on the 95, which I can verify on a Uniden and a Regency scanner as being strong. Something is better than nothing though, considering 225-406 is "unsupported."
