I have input all Nashville frequencies and the talk groups that I want to listen to, set the frequencies to "MOT" in Rx mode and also set type to Mot, in one bank. Then I set the bank to closed, also the delay is is to off for all freqs. When I load these into my Pro-95 using Win95 and fire up the scanner I get no voice transmissions at all. It appears to be receiving the channels but it is just odd static I have not heard before. It will not receive any voice transmissions for any freqs in this Nashville bank. What am I overlooking here? :(

I visited Nashville last fall, and I beleive some of their traffic is digital. I was able to hear some stuff on their but at the time I only had a analog scanner.

Assuming you are listening to the Nashville / Davidson County System, you are going to have to have a digital scanner to have much luck hearing things. There are some analog talk-groups on the system, but apparently the majority are digital.

Thanks guys I was wondering if it was digital or not because I really thought everything was set up correctly. Anyway thanks for your responses. I will plug in some freqs for the airport in the mean time, I was told it is analog.

I live in Knoxville and go to Nashville for work sometimes so it is not really a big deal that I can't get the police there.

Thanks again
