Pro 95 and Palmetto 800

I am just starting to get back in to scanning again and I am not sure how to set up my Pro 95 to recieve trunked channels. I live in the Clemson, SC area and put the control channels for Anderson/Seneca (860.9625) and Greenville (859.9625) but I do not hear anything. What am I doing wrong? (I am looking to monitor SCHP.)

Do you hear any CC noise when manually on either freq?
You may also need this freq for Greenville 859.2625.

Just to double-check ...

Do you have any talkgroups programmed in the banks you have programmed the frequencies?

If you haven't programmed any talkgroups yet, you can only scan those banks in "search" mode.

Ok I got it working now. Thanks for the help everyone! (This is a big differance from my old faithful pro-2006 )

No not yet but I will tomorrow when I go get the PC to Scanner cable.

Yeah, it was a big jump for me when I got it last year when I was up there for my last year of school...

It's a very good idea to keep the control channels for all the sites in the area dialed in, since reception can be flaky from hill to hill and site to site around there. If you get bored of that, the local CAT bus system is also there on conventional 800 (useful if you're a student or want to get somewhere local).. but all the local police/fire/ems is on UHF/VHF. I assume you already know about all of that though...

Good luck with the Pro-95. It's a good scanner; I still use mine to listen to a lot of stuff over here. It's nice to have a handheld when Duke Power goes bonk, too.
