Yeah, it was a big jump for me when I got it last year when I was up there for my last year of school...
It's a very good idea to keep the control channels for all the sites in the area dialed in, since reception can be flaky from hill to hill and site to site around there. If you get bored of that, the local CAT bus system is also there on conventional 800 (useful if you're a student or want to get somewhere local).. but all the local police/fire/ems is on UHF/VHF. I assume you already know about all of that though...
Good luck with the Pro-95. It's a good scanner; I still use mine to listen to a lot of stuff over here. It's nice to have a handheld when Duke Power goes bonk, too.
