First, could you clarify what you mean by "low band"?
Most people think of it as 30-50MHz but I suspect that's
not what you are talking about. VHF high-band? UHF "low"
band? Frequency range would help. BTW the PRO-95 does
not handle VHF Moto trunking.

I thought the scanner was defaulted to 25 kHz

When you are setting step it should be reading 25.0 and using either
up or down arrows it should scroll thru 25.0 , 50.0 and 12.5 kHz repeatedly until you make the selection you desire for programming the system you wish to monitor.

Put in the appropriate number and press Enter, make sure all the
system freq.'s are entered in the bank then press SEARCH and it should trunk if the system is active.

I think he is talking about the Base frequency, step and offset needed for 400Mhz systems. What band 400, 160????

step setting

Hey thanks for all the replies. i guess the frequencies would be from 406-512. The freqs that i have MANUALY programmed into my scanner would be from 482-488. The manual says uhf lo band 406-512. Also, i did try to type the numbers in but it makes a beep that you cant do that

Is this a trunking system 482-488? If so what system is it?

i have done these steps but when i get to the part :

use up to move your step it only displays 00.0khz
and it will not let me change this value.

is there something wrong with my scanner??
or is there something wrong with me??????

does having it it in a certain bank effect anything?

You know, there could be something wrong with the scanner, I think the default is 25.0 kHz step, so 00.0 should never appear. Does the cursor flash under the S after pressing ENTER for the step?

What system are you trying to program in anyhow. What city are you in?

Most times it helps a lot if people know just what it is that you are referring to

Do you have a cable and Win95? If not, I'd take the scanner in for replacement if it's less then 30 days old. If more, but less then a year, you should be able to have it fixed free.
