Pro-95 Control Software

Does anyone make any control software for the PRO-95? I have the 2-way cable, and the Win95 software, but it's not what i'm looking for.

I don't know much about electronics, but I just have to ask.
If you can hook a data cable to the PRO-95 to program it, why isn't there
a way to control the PRO-95 with a PC?

Is it just the fact that nobody has written a software program to make
it possible, or are there other factors?

I don't think anyone has really dug into it yet... In fact, I have never seen any for a GRE scanner.... There is for the Uniden made RS ones.. like the PRO-2052,.. there is PC program/control stuff all over the net for it... Including whats on the Police Call CD Roms.

if its the radio shack Pro-95 I have one and if you're talking about being able to program freq's and discriptions for normal, EDACS and MOT trunks you can use either the WIN 95 or pay 30$ and use http://www.scancat.com/ scancat-lite

The PRO-95 logic board only has clone capability built in. Win95 essentially fools the radio into thinking it is doing a clone transfer when reading or writing data to the computer. The PRO-95 has no computer control ability at all, there is no command protocol, etc...
