Pro-95 freezes scan out-of-band frequencies

Well, here's just a note for anyone who wants to use the Pro-95 outside of the normal bands. Using the Win95 software, I programmed a bank of different channels spread out through the out-of-band segments. I have some between 54-108, some between 174-406, some between 512-806, and some between 960-1240. I also have TV channels for UHF in there as well. As I tried scanning today, I didn't hear anything for a while, and there were plenty of banks turned on. When I looked at the display, it was frozen in Scan on a particular bank. Through trial and error, I realized that the scanner refuses to scan channels that are programmed to be between about 610 MHz and 806 MHz, as well as a few over 960 MHz. I can receive a tv station on channel 31 (577.75 MHz) just fine. But it hangs on channel 36 (613.75) and over, all the way to 806. I doubt the receiver is actually able to receive these frequencies (610-806), since there is a tv station locally active and very strong on channel 68 (789.75) and I can't hear it a bit. So keep this in mind if your scanner stops scanning or you're trying to monitor 600-800 MHz. -- Gilligan
