Anyone have a FUBAR Pro-95 that they want to sell for parts? Cheap. I need a battery door and a black battery holder. My case to the radio is getting pretty banged up as well. I checked at the local Rat Shack and they told me I was SOL.

Any Radio Shack should be able to order those parts for you with no problem. Sounds like your Radio Shack guy needs to be smacked up side his head!

Listen to MacombMonitor!

He has the right idea when telling you to go back and smack that person up the side of the head heh :p

You can order parts for your scanner. I have an old PRO-39 that was all scratched up to heck from years of love and use (not abuse) heh, and I ordered a brand new front side for the scanner.

Parts lists for recent and many older models are available on line at: http://www.radioshack.com/ProductSupport/Frames/ Parts may be ordered through Tandy National Parts, telephone (800)442-2425 or (817)870-5600, or through your local Radio Shack store

this link takes you straight to the radio scanners section:

Well its easy to forget when they're advertising the fact that they have answers.

In another thread on here I mentioned how I just bought a PRO-95 just to mess around with it, since it's being discontinued. I went into my local radio shack and the guy asked if I needed help looking for something. (HAH WHAT A JOKE) I said "yeah do you have any PRO-95's left in stock?" He responded with a dumb look on his face saying, "Uhh what's that?" I said "A scanner!" turned around and walked out the door. I called another RS 3 miles down the road and the girl on the phone had 1 left, so I went and bought it.

you got questions, we got dumb looks! that's for real hooah!

They don't put the parts on the site with prices. Grab the parts list, get the parts numbers you need, make sure you have the Cat No., not th NP Number. For example, 12228813 for the black battery holder. Anyway get those numbers and then call that 800 number at the top of the parts list page, they will tell you the price and the shipping cost, you give them a CC number and they are on the way, usually that day. Have what you need in hand by the Cat No., the person you will be talking to knows how to look up the number, but has no idea what it is other than the description on the screen.

Looking for the "red screw" Trim down cap

I received this scanner from a friend who was throwing it out. I've had a lot of experience with this type of scanner before (Have owned two myself). He stated that is was inop so I decided to do a little trouble shooting. The programming on the scanner was spot on but wasn't picking any frequencies up. After a little research I tried to re-solder the BNC connector for the antenna. Everything went well with the re-solder but noticed that the trim cap screw was broken in half. After interrogating said friend, he told me he opened it up and adjusted the screw to get it to work and ended up braking the red screw in half.

Here's my dilemma, I want to save this scanner but I'm worried that I wont be able to source the trim down cap from Radio Shack because the scanner is so old. I've got the parts list from Radio Shack but I'm not sure which part is the one I need to call them. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
