My Pro 95 does not scan on the "SEARCH" button when I try to do searching on the Police/Fire and Ham Band. On the PD/Fire it starts to search and stops at 33.9800 and on the Ham Band it also starts search but also stops on the 29.7000 Freq. From there on on both of those bands just freeze and I have to turn off the scanner in order to do any kind of scanning on the reg programed freqs while on the reg scanning mode. The 1,2,3,4 band numbers do not even show up on both of those bands, while on the "SEARCH" mode. Pressing any buttons does not effect those bands and like I say I have to turn off the scanner to go back to reg programed freqs. Also when I turn off the scanner on those frozen bands, the screen turns black.
Now I took my scanner to Radio Shack and the young man there told me that I had to many freqs programed on my scanner and that having to many freqs programed "over rides" the Pre Programed factory freqs on the scanner. I do not even have any freqs in banks 7 and 8. What they told me at RS does just not make any sense to me. I told them that the Pro 95 is designed to have 1000 freqs. Well to add on to the story they used there "own" software to program the cheap, unuseful freqs they have and wiped out all of "my" programed freqs. Yes the radio did work fine after that. But I came home and downloaded my own freqs from the Win 95 program and I am back where I started with freezing up on the PD/fire and Ham band, when I go back to the "SEARCH" button. What can I be doing wrong that is causing this. This one has me banging my head against the wall. Please HELP......Thank You--ED

I have received Ed's p95 file and after going through it I found his
problem.
Don Starr needs to take note on this:
Ed had DE-SELECTED ALL banks in the 'Police/Fire' and 'Ham" banks
in the Win95 program and loaded them back into the scanner,
This causes the scanner to do the strange things he mentioned above.
The scanner itself won't allow this and the guys at Radio Shack
aren't aware that this happens so they made a lame excuse to Ed.
The scanner doesn't know what to do and freezes up when ALL banks
are deselected.
I am glad I could help Ed and I am sure he is glad to have it running
correctly now.
Thanks,
Danny
