Pro-95 Problem with voluming

I've been having a problem with the volume on my RS Pro-95. It used to be super loud even when the volume knob was on the lowest setting. When i pressed down hard on the knob, the volume went normal then when I released pressure, it went super loud again. Now to even hear something, I have to turn the knob all the way up but it is still hard to hear. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it could be a loose solder joint, or a problem with the POT.

Is there any way I could fix it, or do I have to take it back to Radio Shack?

If you feel confindent, you could take it apart and check the solder points on the knob. But, if when you do that, the knob doesn't seem loose, you might just want to take it to RS and have them look at it.

The ground side of the pot definitely has an intermittent connection. All that pressing/releasing might have caused a problem on the high side too.
