pro 95 programing

i am trying to program the scanner to pick up the county fire dispatch edacs channels, i found the local frequencies and got them programmed in but it picks up all traffic reapeating through that tower. is there some way to program the scanner to only pick up the county fire dispatch channels. i also found the decimal numbers for the specific channels but i cant figure out how to program them into the scanner

Easy way to program is go to starr software and download pro-95 software. Its free you will have to pick up the cable. From what you are asking it sounds like you have an open bank and no talk groups programmed. Its been a long time since I programmed my 95 by hand I would strongly recommend using software. If your scanner memory gets wiped and you have it on the PC its a great back-up.

Some Radio Shacks might program your scanner for free? They did this about two years ago.
