New to site and hope I've posted in the correct section...have an old Pro 46 that I used YEARS ago...picked up a good deal on a Pro 95 (yeah, I know it's not 'current' with the scanning world) but only plan on scanning local fire/police and maybe some HP too.

I've searched, read, downloaded the Win95 program (I have the cable to down/upload the scanner), and played with the scanner...still not sure I've got it right.

Question is, would anyone out there have a .p95 file of Lexington County, SC that would include fire, sheriff, and maybe some HP group/s? If not, would anyone have a .p95 file of trunked site/s that they could share so I could at least open it in the software and see if/what I might be missing to get my scanner to work properly while trunking?

Thanks in advance!

Re. your PRO-95, I have good news and bad news.

GOOD: Lex. Cnty is on the statewide Palmetto 800 system and the PRO-95 will work on all but 2 of the freqs. Thus you should be able to hear 80%-90% of the Analog talk groups.
I have the PRO-95 program and I will make up a file tomorrow to get you started.

BAD: A few of the talk groups are digital and encrypted. Look in the database in the mode column. A=Analog, D=Digital and E= Encrypted. The PRO-95 can only pick up analog.

Thanks Dick...you'd be my Hero!

Scanning nowadays, like computers, seems to be a 'young man's game' unless you've stayed with it for all the changes that obviously have taken place since I used to run my Pro 46...I know just enough to get myself in trouble :)
