Radio Shack does not sell software for the Pro-95. And best of all, Don's software (linked above) is free. :lol:rescue161 said:

After spending a few days getting your Pro-95 just the right way and using it, you better hope you never have to "reset" the radio, or that will be a few more days of getting it back the way you had it, if you can remember how it was.![]()
I too, while in Houston, decided that a cable and using the computer was a small price to pay, especially as I was also trying to make my Pro-92 as STARNet compatable as possible. I know that pain you felt.scanfan03 said:Before I had the cable for my Pro-92, I programmed it by hand. I had 10 notecards, one for each bank. On the front, freqs/text tags, on the back, TGs and text tags. I actually accidently reset it once. I am in Houston, so it took a long time to program it. I got halfway through programming it for the second time and I said forget it, I got a cable on Ebay for $20. :lol:
lgentle said:I completely agree with using software. I hand programmed my PRO-95 when I got it (finger cramp!). After I started manually adding TG's when the scanner stopped on an unknown ID (by pressing the TRUNK button), I noticed it was saving the "new" ID's in a bank I didn't want it to save to, so, I bought the cable and d'led Win95 and cleaned everything up. Great software for the 95. I also use Scan Control for my 2052. If you go to the Win95 website listed in an earlier post, Don lists USB to serial adapters that worked for him. Although, I do have a question about Win95 for any Win95 experts out there. Before I re-programmed my 95 my display looked like:
1: 0123456789
2: Scan up...
3: (blank)
4: (blank)
After I re-programmed using Win95, my display shows:
1: 01........
2: ++-------
3: Scan up...
4: (blank)
I know what it all means; I turned off all banks except 0 & 1 and banks 0 & 1 are in open mode. But, why after re-programming did my display change? I looked at the manual and the second example IS what it shows in the manual, but, I don't remember it looking like that before re-programming. I don't care that it's like that, I was just wondering if anyone knew why it might have happened.
Thanks,
Lance

ID's up to a higher scanlist to make room to enter all the Baltimore Co. ID's. So, what do I have to check or uncheck to make it go back to the way it was before re-programming?
Umm, he wasn't asking about CTCSS, mainly becuase the radio he has doesn't support it.flyingwolf said:Right beside Baltimore CO. The Closed text with the box beside it. That will close the bank and the scanner will only open squelch on a freq if the CTCSS is correct.
