Pro-95 software

Can anyone tell me the best software to use to program the Pro-95 scanner? I lost all my frequencies, and I'm dreading the thought of having to try to program it one frequency at a time by hand. Thanks for the feedback.

Use the Free Win95.

If you don't have a cable, you'll need to get one, get the Scanner/PC Interface Cable.

Both of these shall do you up just right.

I agree as well. The software was recommended to me on this forum a couple of weeks ago.

Make sure to buy the right cable at Radio Shack. Don't try making it yourself.

It's pretty intuitive to use (the software) and data transfer to the scanner take less than a minutes most times. I just keep the cable plugged in to the COM port so it's ready for the next frequency update.

Although I can't take advantage of trunking my my area, the software seems great for those that use that feature.

Also, it makes alpha tagging a breeze.

I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong one. You want RS# 20-289. I got somthing else because the jerk of a salesman recomended it when he had no idea what he was talking about. The one he sold me only downloaded data, but the 20-289 will download and upload and it works like a charm. Definitly go with Win95. Don has some absolutly glorious software.

Some folks are more skilled with cable construction than others.
