I'm brand new to all of this-so please forgive any stupid questions. I bought a pro 95 and want to know if I am able to program conventional frequencies into certain banks while trunking frequencies are in other banks? Or does it have to be only one or the other. The owners manual doesn't help very much. Any help would be most appreciated.

Welcome to the site! :D

Not only can you put conventional freqencies in other banks, but you can put them in the bank you put your trunking frequencies. Not all scanners can have this, but the Pro-95 can handle it. 8)

With entering the converntial freqs and trunking frequencies you can but them in the same bank. Other thing that the pro-95 can do is it could have 2 motorola trunking system in one bank.

In my scanner I use 2 motorola trunking system in bank 3:
one start at 00 (Bank 3 Channel 00)
and the other starts at 96 (Bank 3 Channel 96)
and then you could have convential frequencies in the middle.

YOU CAN'T HAVE 2 TRUNKING EDCAS SYSTEM IN 1 BANK.
If you do this interefere with the trunking. But you can have one EDCAS trunking system in the bank and then have convential freqs at the end of the trunking frequencies.
**Remeber EDCAS trunking system have to start at the Bank Channel 01
If you start it at 00 it doesn't work.

This is true, if the LCN order starts at channel 1. Not all EDACS systems/sites start with 1. Take a look at the RACOM system for an example. That system also contains examples of sites that can be placed in the same bank and still function correctly, take a look at Victor and Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux Falls and Pierre, SD. In each instance since Sioux Falls is in channels 1 through 7 and the others start higher (and hence must be placed in those slots to work) you could put both sites in the same bank and it would work. RVCFIRE is 100% correct in that there are never any LCN 0 channels. (The same goes for LTR, although the Pro-95 won't track LTR systems.)
