Pro 95 win 7 and 20-047

Hi

I have windows 7 and a Pro 95 I am using the 20-047 cable and i am having a lot of trouble with it, I keep getting a "timed out waiting for header" it used to work on win XP. what am I doing wrong?.....HELP....HELP!!!!!
