How do you delete ONE channel??? I have looked through the manual repeatedly, but I can't find any where that discusses deleting a single channel. I have recently encountered a problem receiving one frequency that had been clear for a long time. Before you suggest that maybe the frequency was changed, the pro 95 is the only of my 4 scanners (two bases, two hand helds) that I have this problem with. I stopped over at my local RadShak and inquired about the problem and they suggested deleting the frequency and re-entering it in a different location. However, when I try that, it gives me an error message that its a duplicate freqency, which brings me back to my original question....

It's been a while for me using that scanner, but I believe you just program 0.0 into the memory channel in question and it clears all of the information in it and returns it to nothing.

If I remeber correctly (it's been a while since I actually programmed mine by keyboard) you press, in programming mode, FUNC-CLR-Enter on the channel you want to clear. Same thing for text entries, except it is TEXT-FUNC-CLR-Enter......

Really all you have to do is this:

Press "manual." Enter the three digit number corresponding to the bank-channel # the frequency is located at (for example: Bank 9 Ch 20 is 920). Then press "manual" again and it will take you to that channel. Now press "Pgm." You'll see the "M" in the upper left turn to a "P." Now to delete the freq press "func" then "clr." This will delete the freq from that channel.

I just did this with my Pro-95 as I typed it so I know it works.

You can save a keystroke by hitting: PGM B C C PGM FUNC CL
(where B is the bank # and C C is the channel number, e.g. 1 2 5 for bank 1, channel 25)

Worked like a charm-fortunately, I knew from experience how to go straight to the channel I needed. Just didn't know about deleting a single channel. Now, I have to re-program that frequency into a different part of the bank (bank set for our local area) and see if its just the channel kernel or if the frequency in my scanner is getting stoopid...

Thank you very kindly for your assistance and your knowlege.

Just to clarify something here, even thought this scanner tells you a freq is a duplicate, you can still enter it again, just hit "enter" button after the message.
Most of you know this, but for those that don't.
I have dup frequencies in different banks for certain reasons.
