Hi there,
I have my cities public safety system programmed into my Pro-95. I am usually just interested in listening to the fire channel. The only thing I am missing when listening to dispatches is some kind of alert tone. I'm aware that a trunked system does not use two-tone paging like my county does but I was still expecting to hear some kind of beep or alert tone.
A typical dispatch usually goes like this: "Standby station 5" (10 second pause, expecting an alert tone) "dispatch continues..."
Is there something I am missing to be able and receive the alert tone? I will post the link to the Radio Reference page below for the system
