I started a thread regarding the 92 and 94. Someone mentioned spending the extra bucks to get the 95.

For those that have it....Pros and Cons

I wanted to start another topic to highlight the 95.

Thanks for your help.

pro's= computer interface, win95, alpha tags, great sensitivity espically in the 800 range with the radio shack 800 mhz antenna. I still feel it has good with the stock antenna as well. The ability to unlock frequencies with the win 95 program

con's= no LTR, or digital are the only problems I have with it but would get a pro 96 or a uniden digital scanner to scan digital.

but this is a excellant scanner have no complaints about mine glad I chose it over the pro 94 the alpha tags alone make it worth its money!!!

with apologies...

i agree: the pro 95 is a very good scanner.... many good features...

the only real problem i have with it is that it is impossible to lock-out talkgroups and keep a bank open.... (i have a system nearby using a talkgroup as a data link to terminals in cars... sometimes very difficult to monitor the rest of the system)...

well worth the money if you don't need a digital capable scanner....

I picked it up today. I thought that my old plug for the 92 would work, so now I gotta make a trip back up to Radio Shack to get one. Unless anyone has a cheaper alternative.....

Suggestions....
Ac adapter....
Rechargeable batteries (ive my old one for a few years)....

and I believe the pro-94 doesn't receive CB channels, but I hear that you'd be better off scanning those channels w/ something made for it, like my TRC-241 that scans and transmits 40 CB channels.
