PRO 96 & 2096 DSP 1.4 Update

Hello, I have a PRO 96 & 2096 and would like to update the DSP to 1.4.

I am just wondering if anyone on here has a link that works to update it or has a file they can send me so I can update it.

If anyone does, let me know.

Ok I clicked on the link and downloaded the zip file and when I go and click on Firmware200526_UPG_14.exe a box comes up and says: This application may depend on other compressed files in this folder

For the application to run properly, it is recommended that you first extract all files.

so I dunno what files it's talking about.

the folder is extracted.

so if there is another way to get it or what I might be doing wrong

let me know.

Ok looks like I might of figured it out.

and just one other question. On the scanner what does: DSP-Voc mean and is this something else that can be upgraded or no.
Just wondering.

For what it's worth if your scanner is working as is I wouldn't mess with updating the firmware. I had to downgrade back to version 1.2 for my particular area. The higher versions caused motorboating on our digital system here.

Same deal with my Pro-96 receiving LAPD here. It would lose lock with the newer firmware.

Years ago, I updated a PRO-96 with the v1.4 DSP firmware and reprogrammed the scanner for a firefighter. It would not receive the Baltimore County MD P25 system until I adjusted VR4 inside the scanner. No problems after the adjustment.

There were glitches with 1.3 and 1.4. I have 1.2 in mine and feel it is the best for decoding.
