How do you know if a frequency is FM or Mot etc where in Southwest Freq. Book does it tell you that? When your programming Win96 how do you know if the DEC, HEC, APS if they are all checked - 0 thru 4?
Thank you,
Terrie

FM means conventional (CT means connect tone, DC means DCS connect tone). Mot means it's part of a Motorola trunked system.

Dec, Hex, and Afs are just different formats for the trunk IDs. Many (if not most) trunk IDs on RR.com are Dec format. Also, selecting that dec, hex, afs will mean that all IDs for that bank will be in that format.

Lots of possible reasons. Programmed incorrectly, no traffic on it, out of range, etc... What exactly is it that you're trying to input? What does it say in the book? That'll tell us what you need to input.

In your county, if they are trunked they are Mot except Chandler Hosp. and Gila Casinos, which are LTR and your scanner cannot scan them.

In your county, all are DEC except Peoria City Services, which has HEX for the type I ID's. The Fleetmap settings determine the HEX value and will be set accordingly in each sub-bank (0 thru 4).

No, they are in Block, Fleet, Sub-fleet format BFF-SS or BFFF-S based on the FleetMap block size. All casual scanner users should ignore the HEX setting and HEX numbers provided by RR. The HEX numbers are not even equivelant to the DEC or Fleetcode numbers provided by us in the DB. They are there ONLY for programming actual Motorola radios.
