• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hi Folks,

I picked up a used pro-96 at a yard sale in Washington DC today.

I am in need of the following if any memeber can help?

1. The standard stock, antenna that comes packaged with the radio, ( HAS A GREAT 800 MHZ STUB ON NOW )

2. The yellow rechargable battery pack.

3. The instruction book.

If you can't help can you provide me with the part numbers for these items from RS?

Thank you,

You can download the manual here http://support.radioshack.com/support_electronics/71295.htm

This link for quick set up reference

Also Try the Radio Shack site for various antennas. I would get the 800 MHz antenna as I use it exclusively.

Enjoy the scanner.
