Is the pro 96 capable of receiving the 225-400 mhz am band? If so- what will I need to program it?Are there any other bands you can open in this radio?

Yes, Win96 is the *only* software known to be able to open up this band, but with a caution; this radio was not designed with these freqs in mind. So while one person's radio might be completly fine in these ranges, another's may not.
