Hello I am possibly looking into getting a Pro-96 in a few months. Gotta save up some money. Was looking online on the RS website and much to my dismay they did not show the Pro-96 up there. Is the Pro-96 still available in store or online? If so then for how much? Also how many total systems (Motorola, EDACS, and conventional) does the Pro-96 hold?

I have heard elsewhere on this forum that RadioShack.com is now out of the Pro-96 but some members have still found them in local stores. You'll probably have to make some calls to find out about pricing and availability.

The Pro-96 has 10 banks of 50 frequencies that will hold one trunked system, a trunked system and conventional frequencies, or just conventional frequencies in each. It also has Virtual Memory which will hold up to 11 500 channel configurations that can be loaded into the scanner when necessary.

They are now saying the 2096 is available in store only. There have been quite a few 96s in the for sale forums since the 106 came out. There still a great scanner.
